The Literature, Publishing, and Translation commission celebrates the International Day of Short Stories uniquely. It provides an electronic device in public places that give the general public free stories according to their needs. The device will launch in its first experimental phase in three locations: King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, and King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, on Friday, February 14, 2020 AD, coinciding with the celebration of the International Day of Short Story. The "short story" device offers rich content of remarkable stories in three different categories. The first is short stories that take one minute to read. The second category is stories that take three minutes to read, and the third category is stories that take five minutes to read. It will be available through easy technical options in which the story is presented to the user according to his needs, including the story's title and information about its author. Through this initiative, the Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority seeks to depart from the traditional methods of celebrating International Short Story Day. In addition to providing creative and interactive options with the public that support the Authority's efforts to encourage reading and spreading literary products among the wide variety of society's population.
