The Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission is organizing a translation forum at the Conference Center at Princess Noura University in Riyadh, with the participation of a group of translation specialists, who will discuss various topics related to the field through sessions, seminars, and workshops. The forum will be held from 19 March to 21 March. The Translation Forum includes Three educational and training workshops also seven seminars that discuss the most critical issues related to translation and other activities within the field. Seminar varies in topics to include "audiovisual translation," which is the forum devoted to the subject for the first day on Thursday, 19 March. Another session will discuss the "interpreter experience," which is all about translators' concerns and experiences. The second day of the forum, Friday 20 March, will present three seminars. The first is entitled "The Experience of a Writer with a Translator" The reciprocal relationship between writers and translators of their works will be addressed. The second session will address the "Challenges Facing the Interpreter." As for the third session on the second day, it is titled 'Translation Platforms.' With the participation of members from well-known platforms serving the translation field. On its third and last day, the forum will witness two sessions, the first titled "Translation and Transfer of Cultural Context," while the second session is titled "Translation Echo and Stadiums." In addition to the dialogue sessions, the forum includes exhibitions and workshops related to translation. It also presents a translation competition targeting amateurs and university students, during which they compete to translate videos according to specific tracks. The forum of "translation" will come in the context of the Literature, Translation and Publishing commission's efforts to regulate the translation industry in the Kingdom and to enhance its influential role in cultural communication worldwide. It also aims to shed light on the translation profession's reality in the Kingdom and open communication opportunities that bring together the translators' community with the relevant authorities.
