Saad Al-Muhareb, executive head of the Saudi Publishing and Distribution House

Saad Al-Muhareb was appointed executive head of the Saudi Publishing and Distribution House by the Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan. The prince previously announced the establishment of the Saudi Publishing and Distribution House, which is aimed at publishing, marketing and distributing Saudi books in Arab countries.The decision of the Minister of Culture to appoint Al-Muhareb as CEO of the House follows the appointment of Dr. Mohammed Hassan Alwan as CEO of the Literature, Translation and Publishing Sector to utilize local competencies in the development of the Kingdom's creative, cultural and literary production sector in line with the Ministry’s strategy and the Kingdom's Vision 2030.Al-Muhareb has experience in the fields of culture and publication, besides previously directing the Riyadh International Book Fair.Saudi Arabia also aims to remove the barriers that previously existed between the Saudi author and the public, while the Ministry is keen to support Saudi innovators in all creative fields and through all possible support tracks.
